Check Out Polar FS2C Heart Rate Monitor for $58.00

Polar FS2C Heart Rate Monitor Review

I bought this device after finding that my Omron heart monitor was not compatible with a pacemaker. While Polar has a clear disclaimer about the risk of using a heart monitor with a pacemaker, I did the necessary checking with the manufacturer of my pacemaker and verified that the low power signal from the heart monitor should not interfere with my pacemaker. The Polar FS2C functions normally for me and I am completely satisfied with it.

Polar FS2C Heart Rate Monitor Specifications

Get your fitness up and running with the Polar FS2c wrist-mounted heart rate monitor. The FS2c is a breeze to use, with a wide variety of heart rate functions that tell you just how well your workout is progressing. The watch starts by wirelessly reading your heart rate, with measurements for your average heart rate, maximum heart rate, and exercise time. The watch also includes audible and visual alarms that tell you when your heart rate exceeds or falls under your target zone. As a result, you'll know whether you should speed up or slow down to get the most from your workout. And users who regularly work out in crowded gyms will appreciate Polar's OwnCode technology, which blocks unwanted crosstalk signals from other heart rate monitors nearby.

Other features include HeartTouch button-free operation; an oversized display with a built-in backlight; a date and weekday indicator; 12/24-hour time displays with an integrated alarm; and a water-resistant housing to 50 meters. The Polar FS2c comes with a Polar T31 coded chest belt transmitter.

great heart monitor - my view -
Very simple and easy to use. Gives you just the info you need and no more.

Intermittent signal problems with strap - Pharmacy Mom - Minneapolis, MN USA
It looks great, and the watch seems to work fine. However, I continue to have issues with the band reading the heart rate accurately. I was using it to do an endurance test, and despite wetting the strap and working with the trainer, we were unable to get a consistent reading. They had a different Polar strap that I ended up borrowing, which worked much better. The monitor itself was fine. I plan on returning this one and buying a different model.

Basic HRM that Works - dt2 - Howell, MI USA
If you are looking for a basic heart rate monitor, this is a good choice. Included coded chest transmitter is easy to wear and has good range. The wrist watch style monitor has a big, easy to read display and relatively straightforward one button operation. I also bought the Polar bicycle handlebar mount as I use my monitor mainly while bicycling.
